"The Med-Kit" is a short film written and directed by Caleb Varney. The story is loosely inspired by the raging hit video game "Dead by Daylight" and follows a cast of four unlucky players as they try to escape the newest zone alive. Unfortunately, there is a killer in the midst who is willing to do anything to win.
"The Med-Kit" was produced at DACC as part of the CMT program in the Digital Video Production 2 course, overseen by Department Chair Matt Byrnes. Produced by course instructor Stephen Osborn, the film was made locally at the DACC Workforce Center Campus with the authorization of Assistant Professor Kevin Gall in Las Cruces, New Mexico.

Behind the Scenes

The video to the left shows a before and after example of the lighting in the film. It is really fun to see just how much of a difference light can make in a scene and it was a fun challenge lighting for this project!
