Finish the Rush depicts the perspective of a service worker who is dealing with the stress and pressures of their job and allows us to jump in and experience what they are feeling in a very extreme way.

In the film, we follow Michael as he navigates through an average night at his fast-food job. Stuck in an extremely busy rush, the pressure builds and the world around him slowly begins to fall apart. Michael is now forced to face his demons as he copes with the expectations to finish the rush.
I believe that service workers, and entry level workers in general, can often find themselves in a position where they aren’t given sympathy, much less empathy at times. It is a position that’s constantly debated; are they overworked? Are they underpaid? is their job that hard? These are all things that may come up in the discussion, and often we forget about the very human element of this job. It’s people, often cases very young, in positions where they aren’t really appreciated and are forced to work under extreme pressure. This isn’t exclusive or the worst example of it, but it is one that is not always acknowledged, because not everybody starts in this role. So, I thought it would be interesting to represent all the pressures and anxiety that comes with these roles in a very extreme and visual way to allow people into the shoes of these people to better understand their struggles and experiences, and hopefully change their opinion on these roles
