After dealing with the loss of her partner, a young woman is forced to confront her emotions and come to terms with her emotions in order to move on with her life.
Let Me Breathe Again is a short that I developed for an assignment submission in my Advanced Camera Techniques course while attending DACC.
Making the Project
A good majority of the project was shot using a Blackmagic Ursa 4K Mini, however two shots were made using a Freefly Ember camera. The camera allows you to capture up to around 800fps in 4k resolution and around 1600fps in Full HD. Because of this, I was able to make the look of floating after overlaying some stock water footage over the top of the image. I was also able to use it to capture her flipping her hair in the water, which was great for helping covey the narrative shift to the resolution.
